Is there a misunderstanding?

The next question in the flow chart is whether there was a misunderstanding. Here is an example of what we mean by a misunderstanding.

Steve Sowle, a Korean Chef with a passion for soul food, owns and operates Sowle Seoul Soul, a restaurant specializing in a Korean interpretation of soul food. On May 10, Sowle is negotiting with Brill’s Broccoli and More for the delivery of 50 pounds of chitterlings and 100 pounds of hog maws. Chitterlings are pig intestines, and hog maws are pig stomachs. Brill, unfamiliar with soul food terms, thinks that chitterlings are pig stomachs, and hog maws are pig intestines. Brill later delivers 100 pounds of pig intestines (chitterlings) and 50 pounds of pig stomachs (hog maws) instead of 50 pounds of pig intestines (chitterlings) and 100 pounds of pig stomachs (hog maws).

Sowle and Brill misunderstand each other in the sense that they think incompatible thoughts. Sowle thinks Brill promised to deliver 50 pounds of pig intestines (chitterlings) and 100 pounds of pig stomachs (hog maws), but Brill thinks he promised to deliver 100 pounds of pig intestines (chitterlings) and 50 pounds of pig stomachs (hog maws).
